The last part of a puzzle called Precismo is our Hardware and Software. It was an intention to squeeze them into just one blog post, since our HW would never work without the SW (and vice versa). So we don’t perceive them as two parts but rather as a whole. As our technology – the 3D scanner we are proud of.
We wrote our own software for scanning and data processing from scratch. We still polish it and add little things here and there. We use some interfaces to external apps (like our yellow robotic arm produced by Fanuc), but otherwise, nothing to talk about. It’s our own, period.
Hardware-wise, we use industry grade lenses and sensors. The best currently available. But our main contribution lies in the ability to utilize them in such a way they work hand in hand.
Cause the other possibility is that the HW and SW will interfere with each other, negatively affecting the quality of the end product (a model we hand over to the client, in our case). Our competitors may think that “more is more”, therefore the more expensive sensors and cameras they use, the better 3D scanning technology. But that is not always the case.
I am also not very fond of the idea that more blog posts, the bigger star on our company’s website, so this is the conclusion of the CTO series for now. In case you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask via our Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, or our contact page.
3D scanning with Precismo is a highly accurate, yet cost-effective way for creating original 3D content for retail, entertainment, media, gaming and other similar industries of the 21st century.
We also closely collaborate with industry leaders in Czech Republic to provide quality control and non-destructive testing solutions across all relevant fields.
